Job Description

We are a busy and welcoming physiotherapy practice in central Cambridge, looking for a friendly, confident Healthcare Administrator to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to gain professional experience in a healthcare setting. You'll be at the centre of our clinic's day-to-day operations, developing valuable skills in communication, customer service, marketing and administration while helping our patients receive exceptional care.

As part of our team, you’ll work closely with experienced clinicians and gain first-hand insight into healthcare operations and delivery, patient care pathways and the management of our successful healthcare practice.

What you’ll be doing

As the first person many patients meet or speak to, you'll play a key role in creating a professional and supportive experience, while keeping the clinic running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

·      Providing a friendly, calm reception service.

·      Answering telephone calls, discussing patients' needs and recommending the most appropriate treatment option or clinician.

·      Responding to emails professionally and efficiently.

·      Supporting our social media activity and helping to create engaging content.

·      Coordinating our clinicians’ schedules to maximise appointment availability.

·      Scheduling, confirming and managing appointments.

·      Processing payments and managing daily financial transactions.

·      Coordinating staff annual leave and supporting clinicians with day-to-day administrative tasks.

·      Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.

·      Assisting with clinic operations and service improvement projects.

·      Contributing ideas to help improve the patient experience and promote our services.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in doing things well and is keen to learn.

Please get in touch if you have:

  • A recent degree (any discipline considered) or equivalent experience with a strong academic background.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Confidence using IT systems and social media platforms
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organised in a busy environment.
  • Empathy, professionalism and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, retail or sales experience would be highly desirable.

You'll be joining a supportive team that values initiative, professionalism and personal development. This role provides an excellent foundation for a future career in healthcare, business, management, marketing, customer experience or professional services.
