Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse / ODP

Location: Cheshire Oaks

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Hours: Full-time and Part-time considered

We are currently recruiting for 2 Ophthalmic Scrub Practitioners (Nurse or ODP) to join a growing and stable service in Cheshire Oaks, specialising predominantly in cataract surgery.

The Role

• Scrubbing for ophthalmic procedures (primarily cataracts)
• Working as part of a dedicated theatre team
• Opportunity to develop specialist skills in ophthalmics
• Access to a structured 6-month scrub training programme (if required)

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 7:45am – 4:15pm (30-minute break)
• 1 Saturday per month (worked in place of a weekday)

Salary (Dependent on Experience)

• £36,000 – No theatre experience
• £38,000 – 1 year theatre experience (non-ophthalmic)
• £40,000 – Ophthalmic experience (1+ year) or multiple years of theatre experience
• £42,000 – Multiple years of ophthalmic experience

All salaries will be reviewed after 6 months.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
• Interest in theatre/scrub (training provided if required)
• Ophthalmic experience desirable but not essential
• Strong team player with a proactive approach
